The Export to Google Docs feature in Myles has been broken for some time. Google changed their authentication process and we haven’t been able to fix Myles yet.

In the meantime, you can still export your data via email and import into a spreadsheet like Excel or Google Docs. There are two different ways of doing so.

First, you can simply copy the data from the email and paste into Excel. Then use Excel’s Data/Text to Columns feature to get your data sorted into columns.

The second options is to copy the data from the email and use Notepad or another text editor to save it as a .CSV file. You can then open the .CSV file in Excel and it will automatically sort the data into columns.

We realize that this is a more cumbersome process than exporting to Google and apologize for the inconvenience.

With the release of the HP TouchPad and all the changes associated with it, we decided it was time to upgrade our brand. Tiger Country Software has become smallPondapps.com. We will continue to support our existing apps, but will gradually be moving our support over to the new site as we update the apps.

Our first TouchPad-specific app, pondNotes has been released to the app catalog and is undergoing rapid development. pondTasks will follow shortly thereafter, and we have some more ideas percolating.

We are still committed to providing quality applications and best-in-class support. We are always looking to improve, so idon’t hesitate to let us know if there’s anything we can do to make your experience better. and THANK YOU! for your support over the past years.!

Having difficulties with Done! and Toodledo synchronization?

Normally, Done! syncs with Toodledo by keeping track of the time of your last sync along with the time of the last task modifications on the device and on the web. If no tasks have been modified since the last sync, there’s no need to download or upload any changes.

It’s possible that a synchronization failure, for instance if you should lose your data connection during the sync process, can cause the Done-Toodledo sync information to get out of whack. If that happens, the first thing to try is going to Preferences / Account Settings and login to your Toodledo account again. This will reset your sync settings and the next time you sync, Done! will pull in all the data from Toodledo.

Be warned, though, when you login to the account again, all Done! data will be deleted from the device. Make sure you sync any local changes first! If you’d like to backup your Done! data before taking this step, you can follow these instructions (except, of course, for Done! rather than Myles…)

If that didn’t work, the last resort on your end is to delete and reinstall the app. If that doesn’t work, let us know and we’ll fix whatever is wrong.

Break the screen on your Pre? Step on your Pixi? What do you do when you need to move to a new webOS Device? How do you save your Myles data?

Myles does not have the capability to import data. However, there is a manual method of copying/restoring the application database.

The database is stored in a subfolder of the /media/internal folder (where all your photos, music, etc. is stored) on your webOS device. The folder is called .app-storage, and you can access it directly in USB mode. You can copy the database to your PC, and then restore it to the new device as follows:
Connect your old phone to the PC in USB mode. The .app-storage subfolder is hidden by default, but you can use Windows Explorer’s “view hidden files and folders” feature to see it. The database will be in a directory called:

file_.media.cryptofs.apps.usr.palm.applications.com.tigers.app.myles_0

In that directory will be a file with a name like:

0000000000000036.db

The actual numbers may vary, but there will be a .db file. That is your Myles data. Copy that file to your PC.

When you get your new device, or your profile is restored by Palm, you can install Myles (make sure it’s the same version that was on your old device). It will create a database in the same location (/media/internal/.app-storage/…

THIS IS IMPORTANT: The new database may not have the same name. For instance instead of 0000000000000036.db, it might be 0000000000000022.db.

Rename the database from the OLD device to the database name that Myles is using on the new device. Make sure the Myles app is not running. Copy the renamed database onto the new device into the myles database directory:

file_.media.cryptofs.apps.usr.palm.applications.com.tigers.app.myles_0

When you next run Myles, your old data should be restored.

Step by step:

Copy Myles database from old device & save.

Install Myles on new device.

Rename old database to new database name (if different)

Copy old database onto new device.
